Hi, I’m Michele

I heard the whispers at different times in my life but I was too busy with work, family, and living a life that was expected. When I started to reconnect with the natural world, my own creativity and imagination, I began to understand the deep longings of my soul. This journey has led me to who I am to be in this world.

I know my journey has been long and there have been some pivotal experiences that have shaped me. I grew up in the mountains of the Kootenays and those mountains still live in my bones. I have had the benefit of a loving family, partner, children, who are now adults, and many opportunities and challenges for which I am grateful. I have spent 29 years working with women and children who have experienced violence, a career that has helped shape who I am and one I am immensely grateful for.

I have been involved in a faith community for all of my life but struggled with many of the pieces of traditional Christianity. I joined with some other beautiful seekers in finding a way to connect the roots of Christianity with a land based faith expression, which led us to create Wild Church BC and to participating in Seminary of the Wild, an eco ministry program. I have been grateful to continue to work with the Center for Wild Spirituality as a Guide with the Seminary of the Wild Earth program and their online community The Ecosystem. Both of these explorations of faith have been foundational by providing a community for me to explore my Soul’s longing and practices that support it.

During this time I rediscovered and accepted my gift of imagination. I have fallen in love with imaginal journeys, guiding others in finding the richness of their own imaginations and the joy of building an imaginal realm that holds the wisdom of the soul. I embraced becoming an artist and found how critical creative expression is to me, this passion is ever evolving and remains a core practice for me that connects me deeply to myself and the world around me. I took a Jungian Coaching course that has expanded my world and has blended beautifully with what I have learned on my journey. I have added this experiential knowledge and a creative framework to the many ways I interact with the world and when walking with others on their soul journey. If you are curious about my work and want to know more about what I can offer you check out my Offerings page. I would love to have a conversation where we can get to know one another and I can answer any questions you have

I am a settler who grew up in the unceded mountains and waters of the Sinixt people (Rossland, BC) and still hold those mountains and waters in my being.  I now wander the hills and grasslands of  Secwepemcúĺecw and live on the unceded lands of Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc (Kamloops, BC).
