Full Flower Moon

a full moon with a red flower imposed on the surface Quote by James Wright "Suddenly I realize That if I stepped out of my body I would break Into blossom."

Today is the Full Flower Moon, the name reflecting the abundance of blossoms found this time of year. This quote from James Wright's poem "A Blessing" caught my attention as this is the joy within me at different points in my life. You would think those moments would be the monumental ones, and they are there, but more often they are the mundane moments, the everyday moments that spark this joy. The common denominator of the monumental and mundane moments is that I am present to all that is, seen and unseen. Presence allows for the connection to be deep and meaningful, sometimes even profound, no matter how simple the experience. Right now seeing the abundance of spring, the growing warmth of the sun, the new life and the new growth this sparks that joy. Then pausing under a tree in full blossom, the bees busy at their task making their own song in response to the tree's abundance, that is the moment I also break into blossom.
